Land Acknowledgment

Our in-person work in Burlington and Oakville takes place on the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and within the lands historically cared for by the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee (Iroquois Confederacy), and Attawandaron (Neutral) peoples. We acknowledge the enduring presence, stewardship, and sovereignty of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and honour the Indigenous peoples who have cared for these lands and waters since time immemorial.

Our virtual work across Ontario takes place across the diverse territories of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples whose relationships with these lands continue today.

Our Values
We stand in solidarity with movements for liberation, human dignity, and collective freedom. We oppose genocide, occupation, forced displacement, and all forms of violence that threaten the safety, dignity, and self-determination of people and communities. We recognize that experiences of suffering are shaped not only by individual circumstances, but also by the relationships, systems, and social conditions in which we live.
